Evocative music for soprano, viola da gamba and guitar under the trees of the local nature reserve.
Tim and Mary Pells are established professional musicians who met whilst students at the Royal Academy of Music. Tim, guitar, is a member of the internationally renowned English Guitar Quartet and Head of Guitar at Colchester Institute. Mary, viola da gamba, performs with many period instrument groups and is an examiner for ABRSM.
Their daughter, Teresa, previously a choral scholar at Cambridge University, recently gained a distinction in her Masters degree at Trinity Laban College of Music and is now actively involved in a burgeoning operatic career.
The three were first invited to perform as a trio for a Queen’s Jubilee concert in 2012 and this led to a number of other concert bookings.
Their programmes comprise a wealth of soprano songs from and interspersed with instrumental items in a baroque style.
Online bookings are closed for this event but tickets may still be available on the door.
