Trinity Laban Pecussion Ensemble

Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance percussion students are trained to be first class musicians and performers, able to work confidently at the highest levels in a variety of contexts. This may embrace orchestral, chamber, solo, theatre, studio, world, improvisation or indeed any types of music. The music profession today is excitingly varied, and the demanding training WBP offers to percussion players aims to mirror that closely.

There are regular Percussion Ensemble concerts ranging from programmes for primary school children to concerts at the South Bank Centre in . In autumn 2014 the ensemble will work with the internationally-renowned percussionist Colin Currie as part of the Colin Currie Festival at the SBC. This project will include Steve Reich helping the ensemble prepare some of his works for performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
