Call to Film Makers – Harwich Shorts

Harwich Film Shorts, part of the

Harwich Festival of the Arts 2017

Calling all local independent filmmakers of any age, you are invited to submit short films on any subject, and be part of the Harwich Festival of the Arts 2017 in June, for screening at the Mayflower Centre and the Electric Palace.


We are looking for filmmakers who are exploring digital filmmaking in creative ways.


Cut-and-paste films, narrative films, art and animation films, computer generated films, films on nature, landscape, seascape; using all types of film making devices including mobile phones, films made to upload to Youtube, bridging cameras, Tablets, digital movie camera’s, drones and computers.


Only 3 rules

  1. The film must be no longer than 10 minutes(it could be as short as a few coherent seconds).
  2. Your film will be subjected to a selection process.
  3. It must be put in on a DVD disc or USB stickto be copied and translated for showing at the Mayflower Project & The Electric Palace in Harwich.


Submission closes by the end of April.
