ARTS FESTIVAL ADMINISTRATOR
The Harwich Festival has grown rapidly over the last 3 years and has established itself as a major national Combined Arts Festival to the benefit of the area economy and has provided good quality art for local people and visitors alike.
The current growth is unsustainable with just volunteers alone so the Festival is now recruiting a part-time Arts Festival Administrator and an office with a permanent presence in the town. This will help us deliver a great festival and extend activities throughout the year to nurture local cultural activity and add to regeneration through the expansion of the creative industry.
The Essex County Council Cultural Strategic Fund has allocated a grant to the Festival to fund the Administrator role for 3 days per week for an initial 6 months contract. This contract will be extended and expanded subject to further funding applications and performance.
ThIs is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast moving and exciting environment. Applicants should have experience in: event and project management; fund raising; financial control; social media; website management; dealing with local and statutory authorities and organisations; contract management of artists and subcontractors.
Remuneration for this position is £18k to £21k per annum pro rata depending on experience.
