Sound Mirrors: Free Online Writing Workshop

When you listen in Harwich, what sounds do you hear? What stories do those sounds bring to mind?

If you’d like to talk and write about the sounds of a place you know and love, sign up for our free online writing workshop. You’ll be guided through the process of imagining, remembering and writing about the sounds of Harwich, with support from writer James Wilkes and artist Lawrence Bradby.

The workshop will be virtual, using the online platform Zoom from 10am-12pm on Saturday 27th February 2021.

Places are free but limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Click HERE for tickets.

You’ll have the opportunity to record your text during the session, and for your voice to be included (anonymously) in a new sound-based artwork hidden as a geocache in Harwich for curious visitors to discover as part of England’s Creative Coast Essex Geo Tour.
