The Harwich Festival is pleased to announce that it has leased the former Essex County Council Adult Community Learning Centre, adjacent to the Mayflower Primary School, for a period of 5 years and will be operating it as the Harwich Arts and Heritage Centre. This fantastic opportunity enables the Festival to provide and support a wide range of activities for the local community including Arts and Heritage projects and new and exciting venues for live events

Thursday 19th December 2019 / 19:30/ A Day at the Saturnalian Races
Join us at the Harwich Arts and Heritage for an illustrated lecture from The Colchester Archaeological Trust.
Starting at 7:30pm Samantha Rowley from the Archaeological Trust will deliver a talk on the Saturnalian Festival which occurred around this time every year across the Roman Empire, focusing specifically on Colchester and the surrounding areas.
