Yvonne Marie Parsons

Yvonne’s diverse musical career as a soloist, orchestral and chamber musician has taken her around the globe. She plays with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, The Philharmonia, City of London Sinfonia, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, English National Ballet, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Glyndebourne Touring Opera, endless wonderful chamber music with various artistes and has performed cello concertos with orchestras across the world from the UK to Australia including with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in Glasgow.


Her first theatre show was the spectacular The Lord of the Rings at Drury Lane, with others including Oklahoma and The Last Five YearsThe Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary TourGhost UK and Asia tour 2015. In London’s west end she has played on MatildaLes MisérablesThe Phantom of the Opera, The Wizard of OzBetty Blue EyesOliverPassionPorgy and BessCarouselThe Woman in White, and national tours of Top HatThe Sound of Music and West Side Story.


As a composer, her varied works for solo instruments, various chamber groups, choral, and larger ensembles have been performed as far away as Columbia and across Europe, and she is currently the cellist on the incredible first UK tour of Matilda with the RSC.
