Most of the Harwich Festival events take place in St Nicholas’ Church and the Electric Palace:

St Nicholas ChurchSt Nicholas Church

Rebuilt in 1821 on the site of a church dating back to 1177, St Nicholas contains memorials from its earlier incarnations, an unexploded bomb from World War I and a collection of 17th century Dutch tiles.



Electric PalaceElectric Palace

One of the oldest surviving purpose built cinemas in the UK, the Harwich Electric Palace was restored in the 1970s and continues to thrive to this day as both a cinema and music venue.
