Making Waves

After our successful urban knitting project for this year’s Harwich Festival we are now planning our new venture for 2017. For this next project we’re hoping to use a wide variety of textile techniques. What stays the same is that our creations will be displayed outside in a public space.

I think this is what made our urban knitting project a success; people out and about could enjoy our work without having to visit a gallery.

I’m hoping to get local people involved once again in creating an exciting colourful display for Harwich. If you have craft skills you like to share with us or like to learn something new join us on Thursday mornings for our free workshops in Harwich Library. The sessions will run from 10.30 to 12.00.

To make our project a reality we’re looking for donations of unwanted fabrics, wool, buttons, beads, sequins etcetera. Donations can be taken to the Box Office in Harwich Library or phone 01255 556517 for collection.
