Our talented Dovercourt Choral Society resident conductor will also conduct an evening with the Colchester Bach Choir. Patrick also conducts Witham Choral Society and Ipswich Bach Choir, and the Colchester Philharmonic.

Finlay Bain

French Horn

The Harwich Festival is delighted to welcome Finlay Bain, 2010 Brass Finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year, studying now at the Royal College of Music. Finlay has played with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, the RCM Symphony Orchestra and recently returned from a European tour with the Gustav Mahler Jungendorchester.

Daniela Bechly

Daniela Bechly
Soprano

Daniela gained her Opera Diploma in Hamburg, and has since sung extensively in Europe and the UK. Daniela’s husband, Steve Pimlott, OBE, sadly died in 2007, and she works extensively for the Pimlott Foundation. Daniela sang in the Harwich Festival some years ago, and was a soloist in ‘Solomon’ in Snape Maltings, when local choral societies joined as the chorus.

Bernard Jenkin

Baritone

Welcome back to Bernard who will sing the Death of Nelson, arranged and orchestrated by Patrick McCarthy. Bernard was awarded a Choral Exhibition at Cambridge University, trained as a classical singer, and is a member of the Parliament Choir.
